Meta backpack connector extension

This isn't much of a creation but I found it useful to scope signals exposed by the backpack connector while keeping the console's screen facing me. I crimped the ribbon cable myself but any old 40 pin IDE (AKA parallel ATA cable) will do. The strips of pins are similar to the ones which shipped in the box but taller (the ones in the pic have pins that are 2cm long).

The 40 pins, 0.1" pitch connector was not a random decision ;)

hah, I suppose it was not!
Though I see you'd need to remove the key/pin protector that the male side has. Not sure the best way to go about that... Nor do I have any of my old IDE cables anymore. XD

Simply cut the male keyed pin away ?
